Don’t lose your identity

Why do girls do a 360 when they’ve got a new boyfriend? It’s okay to be excited to have a new boyfriend and to want to spend all of your time with him but don’t neglect your friends. It’s your friends that will be there to support you through everything you do, and they will support you in your new relationship, but turning your back to them is not a good idea.

Pushing away your friends means that you have no one to help you through hard times, you’ll have no one to talk to when you argue with your boyfriend and even if your boyfriend is your new best friend, there are some things you just can’t tell him. If you’re going to have a night out with your friends after not seeing them in ages cause you've been so busy with the boyfriend, do not make him tag along. Show your friends that you can have fun without him and you haven’t forgotten about them. In the case that you break up with this boyfriend, who’s going to be there to help you through it? No one if you shove your friends off.

Sometimes, a friend may know something about your new boyfriend that isn’t pleasant; don’t ignore her and say she does it out of jealousy and spitefulness, just listen and you might find that you don’t really know the person you’re dating very well since he’s been lying.

Don’t try and turn into a copy of your boyfriend. Don’t start to smoke or do drugs or whatever it is that he’s doing just to impress him and to be able to say “oh we have so much in common!” just no -.-

Don’t stop doing something you love just because he does not approve; you’re your own person and he’s either gonna accept you the way you are, or you can show him to the door.
